Explore the Sinnerverse
Play at your own pace in this text-based universe as a lowlife criminal from the sinful streets of Spazcity. Since this game is pretty straight forward, you can get right into playing without needing a tutorial beginning! Though the game has no overall complexities, there are still some mechanics you may need to know in order to make your progression even a little faster.
Travel through regions
You start off in Spazcity, the capital of the Sinnerverse, but there are many places you can visit. These locations are currently just used for features and player preference, with no story specific settings. There are thoughts to add story-specifics as well, such as Missions or other story events.
Riches and ranks
There are two kinds of rank systems in the Sinnerverse. Your cash rank ("Richness") is determined by your held Cash amount and can rank up or down depending on your current anount. Your Player Rank is determined by Respect and will rank up but never lower. You gain Respect by doing Missions and earn Cash in various ways across the Sinnerverse.
Make it to the top
Streets of Sin has a global leaderboard system that tracks Sinners based upon their total earned Respect (XP), and their current Cash amount. The Cash leaderboard is for those that may have started playing late while there are already active registerd users. This is if you can keep earning cash while the leaders are spending, then you would eventually take the lead for held Cash.
Guns and stuff
When you have earned enough Cash, you can purchase weapons, armor, and various consumables. Be sure to pack some heat and get supplies as soon as you can, because other Sinners can attack you. Be prepared!
Do some dirty work, earn Respect
Earn Cash and Respect by doing some Missions. When you just start the game, you have limited Missions, and you unlock more as you level up your Rank. Missions are not currently Location based, so no matter where you are in the Sinnerverse, you can access them as long as they are unlocked. The more you complete Missions, the more Respect you gain.
Steal some transportation
In the earlier Alpha edition, these group of soloplayer missions were referred to as "Grand Theft" (which explains the image title on that option), but it's since then changed because, well, there is more than just vehicles. You can do Stealing Missions (not yet has a new title) which gives you a chance to earn some nice transportation units, which you can decide to repair (if damaged), sell, scrap, or just keep. This may become even more useful in the future, but yet to be determined.
Bank or bet your Cash
Every sinner, from the moment they arrive into the Sinnerverse, has access to a professional launderer who will safely bank your Cash...for a fee. If you wish to go the opposite route and spend your Cash, you could think big and gamble it instead. The Sinnerverse is packed with Blackjack casinos, so why not give it a shot if you're feeling lucky?
Join or start a Crew
Though we only currently offer Solo Missions, you can still gang together in a Crew. This is one of the parts of the Sinnerverse you could be creative with. Do your crewmates have beef with other sinners? Do you need a hand with scouting for someone? Your Crew could be a big part of your overall progress, so be sure to trust who you hire/join.
Sinkits and premium perks
As part of the updated launch to SoSBeta, you will be given the ablility to collect Sinkits when you rank up or through special activities. These can be used to activate Premium Membership for a specific amount of days. Premium members get special perks for Missions, Grand Theft, and travel.
Best of All...
